If you are anything like me then you love to take a good book with you on vacation, which is why we put together this must-read Top 100 Lesbian Vacation Novels list.
When we were putting together the list we had a couple of factors in mind. The first was that these need to be books that transport you away completely. If it’s a romance, then it needs to be utterly captivating. If it’s a speculative fiction novel, then the world building must make it feel like you are somewhere else.
A couple of things to note. The first is that the books in the list are not in order from 1 -10—it’s random, based on when the review went live. Also, we split this top 100 into categories and these are also not in any order in terms of best books. The categories are:
- Vacation Reads
- Beach Reads
- Small Town
- Sexy
- Sports
- Cozy Mystery
- Crime Mystery
- Speculative Fiction
- Audiobooks
- Sheena’s Choice
At the end of the page, you can find the full Top 100 without the categories.

Cozy Mystery and Crime Mystery Category by April
(with a couple from Sheena)
It’s never an easy task when it comes to hand picking books for a Top 100 list and it’s certainly no small task when you have to narrow it down to ten books per section (I’m always going overboard!).
I would have loved to put as many mystery books as possible on this awesome list, but I had to tame my booklust and choose only 10 Cozy mysteries and 10 Crime/Thriller mysteries.
Each story was chosen because I have a thing for quirky, hilarious, fast-paced and action-packed mystery stories that contain unforgettable and adorable characters. We had the time of our lives creating these entertaining reviews, so we really hope you enjoy reading them!

Sheena’s note: We get that this is not everyone’s Top 100 Vacation Reads choices and that is totally cool. Please respect that this list is ours and it took the TLR team months to compile it. The team did an amazing job, so let’s celebrate the books that you have enjoyed from this list and embrace the ones that you haven’t read.
And to all the authors who didn’t make this list—don’t worry, we have more awesome lists coming so don’t feel discouraged.
