Knit One Girl Two by Shira GlassmanKnit One, Girl Two by Shira Glassman is a super sweet romance featuring two Jewish girls falling in love.

Clara Ziegler is a small batch indie yarn dyer who’s on a mission to find the inspiration for her next sock club collection. Wandering through an art gallery on her lunch break leads her to just the thing—Danielle Solomon’s Florida wildlife paintings. Working out the necessary legal details gives them a chance to get to know each other, and Danielle’s presence brings some extra colour to Clara’s life.

The Characters

Clara and Danielle are both entirely adorable. They have great chemistry from the start and their banter is particularly good. I also liked that they’re both fans of the same TV show, and found myself smiling when they were swapping fanfic links.

The Writing Style

Knit One, Girl Two has a really gentle style to it. It’s a fun, fluffy story without any sex scenes, which isn’t typical for a lesbian romance and yet works very well in this case.

The Pros

It’s so sweet and lovely with wonderful characters I enjoyed reading about.

The Cons

I felt like it ended a little abruptly and would have liked to see a bit more of where Danielle and Clara went from there.

The Conclusion

Knit One, Girl Two is such a sweet novella and it comes at a fantastic price. It’s well worth picking up, especially at the end of a bad day or week, because I guarantee you can’t read it without smiling.

The Phantom wove in and out of Clara’s legs, and she made sure not to do anything with pigment or large pans of water until he’d finished.

Then he trotted over to inspect Danielle. She held out her knuckles for him to sniff. “I’m guessing this isn’t your sister shifted into a cat, right?”

Clara grinned. “That’s The Phantom. Like Phantom of the Opera, because of the tuxedo coloring and white face.”

“Oh, my God, that’s perfect,” Danielle gushed. “You should sneak him into a church and get a picture of him walking on the organ.”

“Or swinging on a chandelier.” Clara swung the skein she was holding as if to illustrate, sloshing water on the floor.

“And absolutely nobody will get us arrested for this.”

“Well,” Clara began boldly, “not if you paint it…”
