boundBound is the work of The Wachowskis, most known for The Matrix trilogy. But before Neo came Corky and Violet the women that paved the way for the siblings to become big film makers.

Corky is a tattooed, truck driving, leather jacket wearing ex con looking to make the most of her new job renovating an upmarket apartment for some mobsters.

Little does she know, her world is about to change quite drastically. Over the next few days she will meet a woman who she can’t stop thinking about, find herself embroiled in a mobster cover up, a murder and a series of exhilarating and terrifying events.

This film is just about as sexy as you can get with its slick film making style that made The Wachowski Brothers famous.

Gina Gershon is smoking hot as Corky, call me biased but, it has been her best role to date. Jennifer Tilly is absolutely believable as the seductress and manipulator, also her best role to date. And the on screen chemistry between the women sizzles.

The rest of the cast are memorable and believable. Joe Pantoliano plays the villain we love to hate. He obviously made an impression on the Wachowski’s since they went on to cast him in The Matrix.

If you take into consideration how small the budget for the film needed to be with a minimal amount of sets, a handful of brilliant actors and no really large stunts or CG work then I put it out there that all you need is an excellent script and vision in order to make a sexy, commercially viable film in the lesbian genre.

This is absolutely one of the best lesbian films out there. Why aren’t there more like this one?
