What you do for a living

I work in Los Angeles in the film and television industry. When I’m not working, I’m reading…a lot (probably the reason I’m still single).

What kind of books you like to read

This can be specific sub plots, characters, genres etc. If you like it I want it. I’m a big fan of the unconventional romance story. I love stories with age gaps, butch/femme storylines, status differences, student/teacher (within reason) and any other kind of worldly discrimination that they must overcome and get their happily ever after. I especially love second chance stories to show that people can change from the then and now.

Turn offs in a book

I hate molestation, rape and people hurting or abusing others. I won’t read it and put the book down immediately. I have trouble reading books that involve violence of any kind towards women and children. I also don’t care for romances that involve infidelity, especially if the partner being cheated on really didn’t do anything wrong. I have read books with infidelity in the past and I powered through, but I know I’ll never pick it up again.

annas favourite booksWhy you like reviewing books

Hey, Sheena asked me and I thought it would be fun. I’ve always liked recommending a book to another person that I know I have enjoyed immensely. I have done that with a few friends, but I want more people to discover the joy that I feel when I finish a story or have found a new author. And this is the best way I know I can do that.

How many books you read a month

When I’m really busy with work, I can read about four books a month, which is one book a week.

Yourself as a reviewer

I am excited to share my passion for romance with others who have the same passion as I do.
